Make shopping with the kids less stressful, get them engaged and keep them entertained. Print this A5 list and use it one of two ways;
1. Let them help you shop - before leaving home, tick each item you need from the store so they can help shop and tick the second box after they have put it in the trolley!
2. Let them play eye-spy while you shop! Each item they see they can tick off on the list!

A suggestion from Aunty if you're struggling to get your kids ready of a morning.
Use this list with your child and offer a reward for when they complete the list on their own. Keep rewards simple like a sticker/star on a good behaviour chart, let them have a treat (like an activity or healthy snack they enjoy) or think of your own reward. Rewards should be immediate and can be frequent at the beginning, overtime reduce the rewards or make them work more for them. Eventually you can stop the rewards and the child should be able to complete the list on their own without issues.

A suggestion from Aunty if you're struggling to get your kids to sleep in their own bed.
After doing your bedtime routine, if your child calls out to you, do not engage with them. If they leave their room, calmly walk them or carry them back to their bed with no talking. Prepare yourself for multiple calm trips back to the bed the first night or two. Do not give in, repeating this behaviour is teaching your kids what you expect of them when they go to bed.Â
If your child has anxiety around being alone in bed, explain to them before bed that you will check on them every five minutes, only if they are quiet. Doing this will reassure them they are safe, make the intervals between visits longer each time.
